My name is Mark Nuyens, as you probably would have guessed. — I am a designer.
I’m currently studying Communication & Multimedia Design at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Since 2003, I have worked with all kinds of projects, although mainly for the web. During that time, I was often responsible for the visual interface design. What this experience has taught me the most was how people interact with an interface and most importantly: what works and what doesn’t.
Yet soon I discovered visual design was only the top of the iceberg. When it comes to an effective user experience (UX), interaction design plays an essential role. I came to realize that in order to make an interface stand out, it has to be fully thought through: inside and out.
